class of 2013
Class of 2013.
You’re probably already thinking about your senior portraits. We’re hosting an open studio on Saturday, March 3rd from noon-4 so we can meet you, answer your questions, and show you what you can expect when you choose Amy Martin Photography for your senior pictures. Bring your friends (and your moms) because we’re doing free Facebook profile pictures for all high school juniors from the class of 2013. Learn how you can receive free sittings and prints. Book your session that day and receive half off your sitting fee. Hope to see you there!
ellie
When we set this appointment up Ellie’s mom said she would be fine in the cold; they really didn’t want to wait any longer. Who knew it could be 66 degrees in January?
It was a beautiful (if maybe a little too windy) day. Stacey (Femme Fab) rocked the makeup. And Ellie and her mom showed up with a truckload of great clothes and incredible accessories for us to choose from. Add to that a beautiful, talented, kind and friendly girl and you have a photographer’s dream.

It’s finally here!
High school seniors have been the largest growing segment of our client base and we finally have a place just for them on the website! Amy Martin Seniors
Grace
Such a sweet spirit this girl has. And Grace isn’t just beautiful, she’s also a talented singer and actor. Thanks for a great afternoon~
Chris
You would be surprised what you can accomplish in a half hour when you put your mind to it.
Chris came in for an “express” session a few weeks ago. He wanted something artistic and high quality, but he didn’t need to capture five outfits or change up his hairdo. We spent a few minutes going through his clothes and talking about what kind of images he had in mind and then cranked these out in exactly the amount of time it took his mom to browse through the gift shop on the first floor. Everyone wins!
Do you know any 2012 Seniors?
We’re busy getting ready for 2012 Seniors and excited to find current juniors who are interested in becoming representatives for our studio. We’re looking for people who have great style, lots of personality, and enjoy being in front of the camera. If selected, you’ll receive a free sitting and the opportunity to earn tons of free prints, plus you’ll be able to pass along huge savings to all your friends. To be considered, you must “like” the Amy Martin Photography Facebook page and complete our application.
Fill out the application here (and don’t forget to stop by our Facebook page and “like” it).
“Express” seniors
We’re really excited to announce our newest program for high school seniors who want amazing portraits in our signature style, but without multiple locations and a bunch of outfit changes. (Guys, you know who you are.) You’ll still get our custom boutique experience with a personalized session in our natural light studio, a private online gallery, and our extensive attention to detail.
$350 includes:
30 minute studio session with up to two outfits
10-12 images in an online password-protected gallery
One digital image to share on Facebook and run in your yearbook ad
Express print collection (1-8×10, 3-5×7, 32 wallets)
We work quickly and our studio has six different shooting areas (plus the grounds around the barn), so you’ll still have lots of choices. If you’re looking for a great senior portrait but don’t need all the pampering and fussing that comes with our regular senior session, this is for you!
Gabriela
We don’t advertise for it, but somehow we end up doing quite a few headshots every year. Today, however, was a first.
Gabriela is heading to Chicago to audition for one of the theater programs there and she needed some headshots. I have to admit that I wasn’t quite sure what an actor’s headshot should look like so Gaby and I went online and found a few examples and it seems that the way we shoot senior pictures was perfect for her needs – good lighting, super sharp focus, soft background, and emphasis on the eyes. We threw in a little wind and a great pair of earrings, and voila!
Mitch
We tend to mark milestones with photos and senior year is a big one. Many of the seniors that come to our studio haven’t had a formal portrait since they were a baby and most won’t have another until their wedding. For our seniors, the fall seems to be the most popular time to sit for their portraits, but we really do them all year round.
We caught up with Mitch last week for his “belated” senior portraits. He graduated last spring but the pictures never happened (something about shaving his head before the appointment…) His mom breathed a sigh of relief when we were done. Her other children did senior portraits and she just knew she’d regret it if she didn’t have them to look back on with Mitch.
Many of the moms who call the studio want to know the “best” time to bring their senior in and I always tell them there is no best time. The date is not the important thing, it’s this stage of life that is so unique and deserves to be captured. Thanks, Mitch, for reminding us.
