behind the scenes

Success!

The grand opening at Double Take was a huge success.  We loved the opportunity to work with Dava Holden at Chic Designs and we made lots of new friends!  You can check out the photos on our facebook page.

Double Take Salon & Day Spa

Carolyn has been my hair stylist for as long as I can remember and over the years she’s become a dear friend. The salon where she works, Double Take Salon & Day Spa, has recently moved to a brand new, amazingly beautiful space. They’re celebrating next Thursday (6-9 pm) with a grand opening and they’ve invited Amy Martin Photography to partner with them for the event. The event is being coordinated by Dava at Chic Designs and we’ll be joining some other fabulous local businesses like Bella B’s Boutique, Emily Hart Bridal, The Blue Moose, and Dean & Deluca.

Everyone is invited and I hope some of my faithful blog readers will stop by and say hi. There will be great food and giveaways for jewelry, shopping events, and salon/spa services. Wouldn’t a free massage be nice after all the snow shoveling you’ll be doing this weekend?

Changes ahead

Got together this morning with the partners at the Studio Loft to plan some fun and exciting changes for the studio space.  Watch for new walls and backdrops in 2011!

Happy 2011!

The latest edition of our quarterly newsletter…

Welcome…

… to the new blog for Amy Martin Photography. 2010 was a big year for growth and changes and what better way to start 2011 than with a fresh new blog.

Loyal followers probably noticed that the old blog got a little (okay, a lot) neglected once we rolled into the busy season last fall. The old blog was cumbersome to update and as I found myself more and more crunched for time it got easy to just pop those previews up on Facebook.

But all that is going to change in 2011. My resolution for the new year is to take better care of my blog. That means more regular posts featuring our clients. But it also means sharing more about what’s going on behind the scenes at the studio and in our personal lives. We have a lot planned for the new year, we hope you’ll stop back every once in a while to check us out.

Peace,

Amy

(Don’t worry, you can still visit the old blog - here.)
